Kunafa with Nutella filling

Ingredients:

  • 400 g kunafa dough
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cup syrup
  • Nutella

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C and grease two baking sheets.
  2. Melt the butter either in a saucepan on the stove or in the microwave.
  3. Place the kunafa dough in a large bowl and mix it thoroughly with the melted butter until evenly coated.
  4. Divide the buttered kunafa dough evenly into two parts, then spread each part evenly onto the two buttered baking sheets. Gently press the dough down to the bottom of each sheet.
  5. Bake both sheets in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. When the baked kunafa dough is ready, remove it from the oven and pour the hot syrup evenly over the assembled kunafa dough.
  7. Spread Nutella evenly over the top of one of the baked kunafa doughs.
  8. Place the other baked kunafa dough over the part that has Nutella to create a joined "cake."
  9. Let the compressed kunafa dough cool slightly before cutting it into pieces.
  10. Serve with a drink of your choice and enjoy this delicious dessert!
